Welcome Message / Overview
I am honored to be in charge of the 2nd Congress of the Asian Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition, and I am very excited to be president of this meeting. I wondered what the theme of the conference should be, so I chose the main theme of "Clarifying clinical questions at the bedside". Let's learn what patients are most troubled by at the bedside, and then use the collective wisdom here to solve these worries by looking at them as clinical questions. We would like to make this a conference where many bedside questions will be raised, discussed in depth, and solutions and strategies formed for the future.
This year's conference will be held jointly with the 60th Congress of the Japanese Society of Surgical Metabolism and Nutrition, providing a good opportunity for Japanese participants to learn how many of the clinical questions raised at the JSSMN are being considered around the world, and we hope that young doctors will also participate. Simultaneous translation from Japanese to English will be provided for the main JSSMN session.
